After six days of adventure in the mighty Rwenzori Mountains, we are safely back, still soaking in the magic of the journey. The trek was nothing short of breathtaking—challenging yet deeply rewarding. Every step through the rugged terrain was a testament to endurance, but thanks to our incredible guides and porters, we made it all the way to Weismann’s Peak, a moment of triumph we will cherish forever.
A Landscape Like No Other
The landscapes we encountered along the way were beyond words—spectacular, raw, and untouched. But if there was one sight that truly stole our hearts, it was the giant groundsel forests. Towering and surreal, they felt like something from another world, making every weary step worthwhile.
The People Who Made It Special
What made this journey even more memorable was the company we kept. Ben and Musabe, our guides, were not just experts in navigating the mountains but also incredible storytellers. They shared their deep knowledge of the local communities, flora, and fauna of the Rwenzori, giving us a deeper appreciation of the region. Their warmth and wisdom enriched our experience beyond measure.
Onward to the Queen Elizabeth National Park
As we leave the mountains behind, our adventure continues—we are now heading to Queen Elizabeth National Park for yet another chapter of exploration. But before we move forward, we want to extend our heartfelt thanks to Remmy for organizing such a seamless and unforgettable itinerary. This journey would not have been the same without the careful planning and support behind the scenes.
The Rwenzori Mountains have left a mark on our hearts, and this experience will stay with us forever. Until the next adventure!
